Although Ms. Steele spent a short time at NUNU Radio, she will always be considered as one of just a few people who shall be henceforth known as NUNU Radio Pioneers. From the very beginning, Niambi’s honest opinions and straightforward talk helped to open up ideas and pathways in the early days of the station, which we now call NUNU Radio Productions, and was instrumental in helping to complete our first radio drama, “Gangsters Over Harlem” a play written by Randolph Shepp Edmonds. It was a learning process but we got through it and made it work. NUNU Radio shall always be thankful to C. Niambi Steele for sharing with us her art, her time, and her passion.
