Currently is an INDY Producer for MNN Public Access TV two cable shows: BLACKPOEMOLOGY: In Conversations on the Arts & Social Issues, and Confessions of a Creative Soul; and former producer of WBAI 99.5 FM (Pacifica Foundations) OUT FM program. Since 2004, David has been a NYC high school Financial Literacy Instructor for CENTS ABILITY, Inc.,. David is a graduate of St. Francis College (Business Administration/Communication), and Columbia University/SIPA (Economics/Finance). In 2007, David was elected as County Community Member for East Harlem. David has also volunteered as mentors for GMHC, the Sledge Group, Inc., and the Covenant House with youth from within the LGBiTQI+ communities, and more specifically, those from Foster Care, and living in Youth Shelters. Mental Disorder and evaluating Prison System among today’s youth and young adults is another focus, and have worked with various programs that has worked in fellow incarcerated young and youths back into society. David has served as Board member for LIFE FORCE: Women Fighting Against AIDS, and the Sledge Group Inc., David was the Executive Secretary for both Presidential Administration for Columbia University from (1995-2005). And, has staged managed productions for the Hudson Guild Theatre Co., The Theatre for the New City, and Nuyorican Poets Cafe, and was the Interim-General Manager for the Negro Ensemble Company. A former USAF Communication Specialist for Air Force, MARS, Desert Shield/Storm, and Weather Analyst for Incirik/Karatas Turkey & Sir Lanka remote sites; who has toured with various productions for the USO both stateside, and aboard. David’s future plans are to return back to his studies for a dual-degree in Social Work/Family Law by 2024. At the end of 2022, for World AIDS Day, David is looking forward to producing/directing a staged reading of his choreopoem, Blackpoemology: Men of Colour in Transitory Stages (A Pseudo Autobiographical – Tragiccomedy, that centers around the MIDDLE PASSAGE through the AIDS epidemic).
