Perri counts having been a professional actor, VO artist, and writer since 1995 when she no longer had to work outside the creative arts to pay her bills.

As an actor, Perri has performed off-Broadway and throughout the country in numerous regional theatres including; The Public and Playwright’s Horizon in NYC, The Guthrie in MN, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Seattle Rep, Perseverance Theatre in Juneau Alaska, The Cleveland Playhouse, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and others. As an actor-writer, Perri adapted her debut novel, The Resurrection of Alice, into an award-winning one-woman play. She wrote and performed four other solo shows: JOSEPHINE, a multi-media monodrama based on Josephine Baker; Harriet Speaks, the audience interviews the channeling spirit of Harriet Tubman; A Sojourn for Truth a lecture by the spirit of Sojourner Truth; JUST ME a multi-media exploration of Perri’s toddler years to when she moved to NYC. Perri wrote and narrated two documentaries Marcus (about a promising young painter) and C2EA (about the historic 2005 march from NYC to DC as part of the Campaign to End AIDS). Perri has also written five feature film scripts, wrote and co-produced three episodes of A Little Off The Top (a webisode, shot but unedited), and was commissioned to write two poems; Something Marvtastic (memorial poem for Larry Leon Hamlin founder of the NBTF) and Kickin’ It With My Girl Friends (a tribute poem for Girl Friends®). Perri also co-authored two textbooks – How to Manage Artists in Pop Music and The Business of Broadway with Mitch Weiss (Skyhorse Publishing).
