In Play Corner, NUNU salutes the wordsmiths from long ago by putting the spotlight on vintage plays that are sometimes classic or maybe obscure. Coming from the past, the content addresses historical issues and events. But these scripts also often bridge the past and present. Like déjà vu, somehow these stories may feel familiar, because the more things change, the more they stay the same. Many of the playwrights did not receive the recognition they deserved within their lifetime, so NUNU boasts of their strides and achievements today. The plays are all performed with special effects and music to heighten the mood of the moment. This timeslot features material intended for more mature audiences and features PG13-rated stories.
